"First let me say that finding a great electrician is not easy. Luckily I was referred to Jim by a close friend and I'm very thankful for that. Jim is a great person, he came to my house and offered many different avenues for my EV install. He suggested a few things that would help short term and also long term. I ended up getting a sub panel and EV charger installed in my home for less than people were charging to just install an EV charger. My install also wasn't the easiest due to the location of original panel but Jim was prompt and made sure to explain everything. The bill was detailed and explained every single charge. We spent 2 hrs looking for loose wire that was causing my problems. "Jim sent his partner on a Saturday to troubleshoot my house electrical circuit breaker problems. After a temp repair Jim suggested I needed to replace my outdated Zinsco Main and Sub panel as they are now actually a safety hazard (no kidding google it). I could have changed either the Main or Sub but decided to replace both. His estimate was reasonable compare to other contractors. I scheduled the work for two days as I figure each panel replacement would take one day each. However, in one day he replace both the Main outside panel and home inside CB panel. On top of that he rewired a rig job that someone had done (and did no know about) inside my garage at NO extra charge. He answered all the questions I had and did a detailed professional job. I had power in my home on the same day by 3PM. I would definitely recommend his services."

"I needed a main breaker panel replaced on rental house. Box was loose on wall, tenants lost inside cover plate and wires were exposed inside, just waiting for an accident. I call 1st Choice Electric, Jim answered said he was on a job and text him the address and he would take a look when he finishes that day. Looked over the job and gave an estimate on the spot, this was Friday evening and he could do it on Sunday, his quote was in line with the other I got but the other electrician couldn't do it till 10 days. He then worked with me on a good day and time that worked for me to scheduled the job. On the scheduled day of the job he completed the job in a few hours and the new lights look amazing. He even did the ceiling texture to cover the sheet rock. He cares about his customers and his work speaks for itself. "I highly recommend Jim and 1st Choice Electric! With one dead can light and the other on its last legs, I needed a great electrician ASAP, otherwise my laundry room would be lit by candles! Thankfully Jim promptly returned my voicemail and scheduled me for the very next day. This wasn't a difficult job, but the twist was that I asked if he could show me how to do the fluorescent to LED retrofit so I could tackle the other dozen cans as they slowly die one after the other. He was a very willing and gracious teacher and his pricing was very reasonable!"

"Man, Jim save me. Called around 4:00pm and he came by after his last job. I tried everything I read to do for a tripped GFCI. Jim came by and it 5 minutes it was back up with power. He ran through what the issues could be, and finally discovered what I hadn't though of. Before leaving he ran through my two breaker boxes and what be aware of and what issues might come up with them. Can't believe how painless this was. Can't recommend enough!"
